Pictures of Wildflowers on Notecards

Another native sunflower. The size of the plant is almost totally determined by how much water is available. I have seen sunflowers like this growing in a dry spot that only reached 18” in height and had only one or two flowers. The same plant, in a watered area of our yard, grew to more than 10’ in height and had over 100 flowers!
